TRX Suspension Training is now offered at the Doughboy Gym, Building 5953, on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 pm and Thursdays from 11 am to noon.
TRX Suspension Training was developed by a deployed Navy SEAL. He found himself with a need to workout but no equipment available. He used two cargo straps, attached them to the back of a Humvee and developed a way to do full-body resistance training using his own body weight as resistance.
All fitness levels may participate because the training is easily modified. The USMC has already added this training into their regular combat fitness training requirements. TRX Suspension Training is also being used extensively within the Wounded Warrior Programs. To access the official website, go to www.trxtraining.com.
This training class is free and open to all eligible ID cardholders. Please call Julie Yuhas at 609-562-2707 for more information or email julie.yuhas@us.af.mil. Unit/squadron PT sessions are also available and coordinated with the POC.
