The JB MDL Rod & Gun Club at Range 14 hosts the annual 2012 Turkey Contest with official scoring taking place at the monthly Rod & Gun Club meeting in June 2012.  The winner is by length of beard and the contest is open to all JB MDL Rod and Gun Club members in good standing with a current Rod & Gun Club Activity Card and a 2012 Contest Eligibility Card purchased not less than two days prior to the harvest.

All contestants must bring their turkey beard intact within forty eight hours of harvest to Outdoor Recreation, Building 6045 on Doughboy Loop at Dix or Range 14, Building 9060,  during operating hours to have it registered.  All contestants will request and receive a copy of their completed registration form from Outdoor Recreation.  Ties will be broken by a coin toss and all decisions are final.

Outdoor Recreation is open Monday through Friday 10 am to 7 pm and Saturday and Sunday 9 am to 4 pm and the phone number is 609-562-6667.  Range 14 hours are Wednesday 1 to 8 pm, Friday (April to December) from 1 to 8 pm and Saturday and Sunday 8 am to 4 pm.  The phone number for Range 14 is 609-562-4676.
