<p>Visit the many service member and family program, service and event providers from across the installation.  Open to all DoD ID cardholders.</p>

  Show us your power at the  plate!  Just like the Major Leagues,  swing for the fences until you get 3 outs (strike, foul ball, drops inside the  fence).  Registration begins at 1200.<br />
  <strong>1300-1600 – Obstacle Course – Doughboy Field </strong><br />
  You&rsquo;ll need speed,  agility, and prowess to put the best time on our leader board.  Divisions for men, women, and kids.  No registration required.<br />

  Do you have what it takes  to make a ringer? Horse shoes will be open, find a partner and another team of  two. No registration required.<br />

It is for younger children and the objective is to toss beanie animals into the  openings on the Noah&#8217;s Ark panel. This is a great activity for the 2 years and  older crowd, <strong><em>Froggy Fly Fling</em></strong> &#8211; A frame game with the graphic of a bull frog  with a very big mouth opening. There is also a catapult mechanism that is used  to launch large insects into the mouth by the participants, <strong><em>Fill  the Bottle</em></strong> &#8211; Water games are always a hit and this one has definitely been  a big hit every year that it is used, Balloon Splash &#8211; This is another fun  water game that kids absolutely LOVE! It works similar to a dunk tank without  the dunk tank. Always a hit! Big Foot Race &#8211; This is a great game that has 2  teams of three contestants to see which team can do the best teamwork. Line  dances &#8211; Cupid Shuffle, Wobble, Electric slide, Macarena, cotton eyed Joe,  Casper slide &amp; Harlem Shake! Limbo &#8211; Always a favorite, Stuff It! &#8211; 3 teams  / 5 contestants each will try to fit as many balloons as possible in the  over-sized shirt that one of the contestants on each team will be wearing, Follow  the DJ dance &#8211; Simply do what the DJ does and have some fun!</p>

<p>Memorial Outdoor Pool bldg will not be open for Memorial Day Weekend due to mechanical repairs.</p>
<p>Upon completion of repairs,  the pool will open for 2013 season and resume normal hours of operation:</p>
<p>Lap Swim Mon – Fri 5:30am – 8:00am / 11:00am – 1:00pm</p>
<p>Recreation Swim 1:00pm – 6:00pm.</p>
<p>The pool offers lap swimming, private pool party rental, and swim lessons.</p>
<p>Recreation swim pool hours of operation are: Sat, Sun, Mon from 1:00pm – 6:00pm.</p>
<p>Due to military training hours subject to change.<br />

<p>Get a crew, build a boat, and enter to sail the waves at Willow Pond for fun and treasure! Five categories to win including the “Unique Theme” category, worth up to $300! Adding to the fun is free bounce houses for the kids, horse shoes, bean bag, volleyball and basketball competitions, food and beverage for sale and free kayaking on the pond. Registration begins June 1st but for complete details, including instructions how to construct an entry, <em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><a href="http://gomdl.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/Cardboard-Boat-building-Rules-and-Basics.pdf" target="_blank">CLICK HERE</a></strong></span></em>.</p>
<p>Events that will be contested are Crew Spirit, Unique Theme, Fastest and Titanic.  A first place trophy will be awarded to the crew that wins each event.  The contests will be determined by appointed Judge(s).  Additionally, the Unique Theme contest will have three FSS Gift Card winners in the amounts of $300, $200 and $100 for 1st &#8211; 3rd place. Each crew member will be given a $15 FSS Gift Card and a raffle ticket on the day of the event to participate in a drawing for a Kindle Fire.  A total of three Kindle Fires will be given away.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">The Schedule of Activity is the following:</span></p>
<p>10:00am &#8211; 11:00am   Team check in and placement of the boat on the shore<br />
10:00am &#8211; 3:00pm   Food/Beverage available for purchase<br />
10:00am &#8211; 3:00pm Free bounce houses, horse shoes, bean bag toss, volleyball and basketball<br />
11:00am &#8211; 12:45pm   Boat Races, 3 team heats.<br />

<p>Visit the unofficial “Capitol of the World” on one of the best days of the week to see it, Tour the city, beat the heat at a matinee Broadway show, or visit one of New York City’s great museums.  The bus will depart from Lakehurst at 8 a.m. and from the McGuire Commissary at 9 a.m.  The drop off point in New York will be near Times Square in the Theatre district.  The bus will board for the return trip at 5:15 p.m. and will depart at 5:30 p.m.  The cost is $25.00 per person (minimum seating required). Participants perform a variety of strength training activities, either participating in any toning group fitness class or perform weight training on their own. Participants receive a punch card during registration for instructors or front desk staff to punch after completing a workout. The participant with the most punches wins! <p>Recreation swim pool hours of operation are: Sat, Sun, Mon from 1:00pm &#8211; 6:00pm.</p>

<p><strong>Saturday June 1st </strong><br />
Kids Pottery Class Session 2 (Ages 6-10) &#8211; Saturdays from June 1st-22nd; Classes cover hand-building (pinching, coiling and slab building) as well as basic wheel throwing skills. Students will be shown basic techniques that will lead to their own creative solutions. Clay glazes and firings are provided. Pre-registration required; Session 1 – May 4-25 (4 weeks) 10:30am &#8211; 12:00pm $40 and<br />
Session 2 – June 1-22 (4 weeks) 10:30am &#8211; 12:00pm $40</p>
<p>Kids Painting Class (Ages 6 and up) -Saturdays June 1st-22nd from 1:00pm &#8211; 2:30pm; Cost $40 (4 week course); Learn the basic techniques in this fun painting class for children. Students will explore the use of various art media which includes: pastels, watercolor, acrylic and more</p>

Creative Photo Boot Camp – Wednesday June 5th from 5:30 – 7:30pm; Cost is 25; See in a new way in this 2 hour photo bootcamp! Students will learn how to create interesting images with selective focus by using the Lensbaby lenses provided in class. Students must have a Canon or Nikon DSLR camera to participate in this class. </p>
<p><strong>Thursday June 6th</strong><br />
Get Ready for Summer Trips – Thursdays June 6th &#038; 13th from 6:00pm &#8211; 8:30pm; Cost $20 plus materials- get supply list for first class; Going on long or short car trips can sometimes be stressful. Let’s make an organizer to hang on the back on the seat to hold crayons, books, MP3 players and trash. You will have plenty of pockets to hold everything and then roll up and take with you to the hotel.</p>

Framing Qualification Class – from 10:00am &#8211; 12:00pm; Get qualified to use this great facility and equipment!  You will complete one piece as you learn to operate the equipment. You are required to bring something in to frame such as an 8&#215;10 photo or certificate. All materials are available at the frame shop which will be purchased at the end of class. Choose a date that is convenient for you, from the following: Pre-registration fee of $10 is required prior to class. Materials not included</p>
<p>Quilts for Kids from 11:00am – 3:00pm; Come join us to make quilts for kids in long term healthcare, safe houses, children of deployed Soldiers and for our Wounded Warriors. We will teach you everything you need to know for these simple but beautiful quilts using fabulous designer fabrics from showrooms and design houses around the world as well as our own stash. Gifting a quilt is like giving a hug. Bring your lunch and stay all day; no cost</p>
<p>Portrait Photography &#8211; Classes are held Saturdays from 12:00pm &#8211; 3:00pm from  June 8th-29th &#8211; Cost is $60 per student; This 4 week course is designed to show you how to achieve stunning images that look like they should be in a magazine! We will cover available light shooting, reflectors, and techniques to get great portraits outdoors anytime day or night, studio techniques, and most importantly, we show you how to get your flash off camera to open up limitless possibilities. This course is designed for intermediate to advanced photographers. Students must have a DSLR camera with a lens between the ranges of 24-120mm</p>

<U>Commander&#8217;s Cup Golf Tournament:</U> Hosted by Fountain Green Golf Course, bldg 3152 Fort Dix Road. Commander&#8217;s Cups held second Wednesday of every month ( 6/12, 7/10, 8/14, 9/11, 10/9) from now until October, weather permitting, with a 12 noon shotgun start. Sign up 2 weeks prior to each event. Format: 4 person Scramble (make your own team). In a scramble, each player tees off on each hole. The best of the tee shots is selected and all players play their second shots from that spot. The best of the second shots is determined, then all play their third shots from that spot, and so on until the ball is holed. Commander’s Cup is open to all DoD ID holders. <p>Presented by 87FSS Outdoor Recreation. 87FSS ODR takes its first excursion to Lehigh Gorge State Park, PA to shred some Class II/III rapids and you’re invited!</p>
<p>We’ll be rafting during a release from the Francis Walter Dam!</p>
<p>Price includes admission, transportation and equipment. Only $35 for RecOn participants (active duty and reserve personnel), $65 for all other DoD ID holders. You must be 9 years of age and at least 44” in height.</p>

<p>Open to all JB MDL members,  families and friends, with bounce houses, balloon artist and face painters for free.</p>

An entire day dedicated to FUN! Open to all DoD ID holders and held rain or shine. Youth ages 10 and under bowl free with a paying adult. Adults pay only $10 per person for unlimited bowling from 1:00pm to 6:00pm. Shoes included in price. Door prizes given away all day &#8211; you could win a 32” Sanyo LED television, an Amazon kindle, a Toshiba Satellite laptop, four season passes to Great Adventure, or a Clip Zip MP3 player. As an additional prize, if you bowl a strike with the yellow pin at the head position you will have the opportunity to draw for free Go-Cart rides, batting cage tokens or  miniature golf games at John Mann Park, or free French fries, soda, or hot dogs from our snack bar.</div>

Parent-Child Leagues are a great way for parents, even grandparents, and their children to have fun playing together!</p>

<div>Leagues are Non-sanctioned, 9 Pin No-Tap Scratch. Teams may choose to bowl with or without bumpers. Each team consists of 1 child and 1 adult.   Leagues run June 10 through August 12 (10 weeks), playing Monday evenings beginning at 6:30pm i Bowling Center on Doughboy Loop. $20.00 per week per team – Includes 3 bowls each week and shoe rental. Hosted by 87FSS Bowling Center/Westside, the Ladies Night Out Bowling League features 3 lady teams that bowl on Thursday nights at 6:30pm. League runs for 12 weeks beginning Thursday, June 13. Open to ladies age 18 or older. League is handicapped so bowlers of all skill levels can compete and have a chance to win. Camp runs June 19th through August 7th (8 weeks), Wednesday evenings from 6 to 8pm.  Participants receive 2 hours of group instruction on lane lessons with experienced coaches. Upon completion of the camp all participants receive a new bowling ball, towel, and bag. <div>Bowlopolis is an imaginary bowling center where everyone young and old can look to bowling for fun and happiness, and identify and olove the sport.  It&#8217;s a place where fun, adventure and play can help develop lifetime skills.  Bowlopolis is also the story of a young boy who mush learn to bowl to win his father back from the evil Kingpin, who has kidnapped him and is holding him captive in the basement of Bowlopolis.</div>
<div>Come experience the adventure of bowling with the Bowlopolis gang.  Only $10 per person, children under 6 only $5, and includes 2 games of bowling with shoes, picnic lunch, red pin bowling, and chances to win free games.  Red Pin Bowling is when a red bowling pin is the head pin.  If you get a strike, you receive a free game.  All children under 10 receive goodie bags.  Hotdogs and burgers served to all bowlers!  Get door prizes throughout the event, including: Bowlopolis T-Shirts, 3 sets of AMC movie tickets for a family of 4, 3 sets of Camden Aquarium tickets for a family of 4, and 3 sets of Philadelphia Zoo tickets for a family of 4.
