1200-1700 – Music, dancing and interactive games including, Hula Hoop contest, All Aboard – This is a frame game with a graphic of Noah’s Ark. It is for younger children and the objective is to toss beanie animals into the openings on the Noah’s Ark panel. This is a great activity for the 2 years and older crowd, Froggy Fly Fling – A frame game with the graphic of a bull frog with a very big mouth opening. There is also a catapult mechanism that is used to launch large insects into the mouth by the participants, Fill the Bottle – Water games are always a hit and this one has definitely been a big hit every year that it is used, Balloon Splash – This is another fun water game that kids absolutely LOVE! It works similar to a dunk tank without the dunk tank. Always a hit! Big Foot Race – This is a great game that has 2 teams of three contestants to see which team can do the best teamwork. Line dances – Cupid Shuffle, Wobble, Electric slide, Macarena, cotton eyed Joe, Casper slide & Harlem Shake! Limbo – Always a favorite, Stuff It! – 3 teams / 5 contestants each will try to fit as many balloons as possible in the over-sized shirt that one of the contestants on each team will be wearing, Follow the DJ dance – Simply do what the DJ does and have some fun!

Memorial Outdoor Pool bldg will not be open for Memorial Day Weekend due to mechanical repairs.

Upon completion of repairs, the pool will open for 2013 season and resume normal hours of operation:

Get a crew, build a boat, and enter to sail the waves at Willow Pond for fun and treasure! Five categories to win including the “Unique Theme” category, worth up to $300! Adding to the fun is free bounce houses for the kids, horse shoes, bean bag, volleyball and basketball competitions, food and beverage for sale and free kayaking on the pond. Events that will be contested are Crew Spirit, Unique Theme, Fastest and Titanic. A first place trophy will be awarded to the crew that wins each event. The contests will be determined by appointed Judge(s). Additionally, the Unique Theme contest will have three FSS Gift Card winners in the amounts of $300, $200 and $100 for 1st – 3rd place. Each crew member will be given a $15 FSS Gift Card and a raffle ticket on the day of the event to participate in a drawing for a Kindle Fire. A total of three Kindle Fires will be given away.

A free program, open to all DoD ID holders, presented by 87FSS Fitness at Griffith Field House, BLDG 6053, 8th St. & Millville Rd. Participants perform a variety of strength training activities, either participating in any toning group fitness class or perform weight training on their own. Portrait Photography – Classes are held Saturdays from 12:00pm – 3:00pm from June 8th-29th – Cost is $60 per student; This 4 week course is designed to show you how to achieve stunning images that look like they should be in a magazine! We will cover available light shooting, reflectors, and techniques to get great portraits outdoors anytime day or night, studio techniques, and most importantly, we show you how to get your flash off camera to open up limitless possibilities. Commander’s Cup Golf Tournament: Hosted by Fountain Green Golf Course, bldg 3152 Fort Dix Road. Commander’s Cups held second Wednesday of every month ( 6/12, 7/10, 8/14, 9/11, 10/9) from now until October, weather permitting, with a 12 noon shotgun start. Sign up 2 weeks prior to each event. Format: 4 person Scramble (make your own team). In a scramble, each player tees off on each hole. The best of the tee shots is selected and all players play their second shots from that spot. The best of the second shots is determined, then all play their third shots from that spot, and so on until the ball is holed. Commander’s Cup is open to all DoD ID holders. Youth Summer Bowling Camp, presented by Hook Up 2 Bowling and the 87FSS Bowling Center/Westside. Camp runs June 19th through August 7th (8 weeks), Wednesday evenings from 6 to 8pm. Participants receive 2 hours of group instruction on lane lessons with experienced coaches. Upon completion of the camp all participants receive a new bowling ball, towel, and bag. ADULT BOWLING INSTRUCTION CLASSES:

Adult bowling Instruction Classes, presented by Hook Up 2 Bowling and the 87FSS Bowling Center/Westside, June 5 through July 17. Learn such bowling fundamentals as proper way to pick up the ball, hand position and stance, hand position for release, staggered stance, and push away from USBC-certified coaches. “One on one” on lane instruction, develop better approach, swing and leverage. Classes held 2 hours per week for 7 weeks from 2 to 4pm. Last week of class features a 9-Pin No-Tap Tourney, free bowling ball, bag, and towel, and trophies and awards presentation! Saturday June 22th

Presented by 87FSS Outdoor Recreation. 87FSS ODR takes its first excursion to Lehigh Gorge State Park, PA to shred some Class II/III rapids and you’re invited!

We’ll be rafting during a release from the Francis Walter Dam!

Price includes admission, transportation and equipment. Only $35 for RecOn participants (active duty and reserve personnel), $65 for all other DoD ID holders. You must be 9 years of age and at least 44” in height.

Oktoberfests in Germany starts in late September so we are having one on Friday, September 27th at 4:30pm at Tommy B’s Community Activities Center to keep their tradition going.

Come celebrate a favorite German tradition with German music, food and beer. Music performed by the Hofbrauhaus German Quintet including German folk, polka and yodeling.

Open to all JB MDL members,  families and friends, with bounce houses, balloon artist and face painters for free.

Authentic German food are available for purchase: Free for Club Members and al a carte pricing for non Club Members.
