And thank you for giving Child and Youth Program (CYP) staff the opportunity to carry out our mission of service to the JB MDL Community. Child and Youth Programs provide a comprehensive selection of care and structured, out-of-school activities for youth 6 weeks to 18 years of age. We believe that quality programming must meet the needs of all children and youth in our community.
Child and Youth Programs consist of:
Central Registration Resource and Referral Office
Located in Building 3435 on Broidy Road at McGuire, serves as a one-stop-shop for information, availability, and registration to all Child and Youth Programs on McGuire and Dix of the Joint Base. We also offer information of on and off-base child care and youth program options. McGuire and Dix Registrations/Enrollments for on installation CYP takes place here. Fills program openings and maintains a centralized waiting list is managed through this office. Call (609) 754-3259 /-3098 for information from 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday (except holidays).

Please make an appointment by calling (609) 754-3259 /-3098 to register. The staffs will inform you the documents and forms you need to bring with.

If your schedule is not cooperating, you may come in to drop off the required registration forms and documents Monday through Friday (except holidays) between 8:00am and 4:30pm at Central Registration Office. If any form(s) are found to be incomplete, parent may be required to return to Central Registration Office to complete the document properly.

McGuire Child Development Center 1 (CDC I)
Located in Building 2430 on Can Do Way, the McGuire CDC 1 is open weekdays from 6:30am to 5:30pm providing full day care service for children 6 weeks to 2 ½ years of age. Phone number is (609) 754-2966.
McGuire Child Development Center 2 (CDC II)
Located in Building 2414 on Tuskegee Airmen Avenue, the McGuire CDC 2 is open weekdays from 6:30am to 5:30pm providing full day, part day preschool am and pm sessions for children 3-5 years old, and before and after school care for Kindergarten age children. Phone number is (609) 754-3661.
Dix Child Development Center (CDC)
Located in Building 1188 on Juliustown Rd, the Dix CDC is open weekdays from 6:30am to 5:30pm providing full day care service and hourly care 9:00am to 2:00pm for children 6 weeks thru 6 years of age. The Dix CDC also offers before and after school care for Kindergarten and 4-year old children attending Pemberton Township schools. An Abbott preschool program for 3-year old children (6 hour block free) who live in Pemberton Township, which includes Dix Housing area, is also available. Lakehurst Child Development Center (CDC)
Located in Building 657 on Berry Rd, the Lakehurst CDC is open weekdays from 6:45am to 5:30pm providing full day and daily drop in hourly care on a space available basis for children 6 weeks to 5 years old. Phone number is (732) 323-2260.
JB MDL Family Child Care (FCC)
The Admin Office is located in Building 3435 on Broidy Road. FCC is a home-based, small group child care setting for children 6 weeks thru 12 years of age. FCC providers offer full day, part day, hourly, evening, weekend, and overnight child care services in licensed homes. Admin Office phone number is (609) 754-3154.
McGuire School Age Program (SAP)
Located in McGuire Youth Center Building 3830 on East Scott Street, the program is open 6:30am to 5:30pm weekdays providing before and after school care as well as full day care during school out days and a summer camp for children in grades 1 through 6. Phone number is (609) 754-KIDS (5437).
Dix School Age Program (SAP)
Located in Building 5219 on 8th Street, is open from 6:30am to 6:00pm weekdays and provides before and after school care as well as full day care during school out days and a summer camp for children in grades 1 through 5. Phone Number is (609) 562-3873.
Lakehurst School Age Program (SAP)
Located in Lakehurst Youth Center Building 487 on Walsh Drive, is open from 6:30am to 5:30pm weekdays for before and after school care and camps during school breaks for children Kindergarten age thru 7th grade. Phone number is (732) 323-4043.
McGuire Youth Programs (YP)
Located in Building 3830 on East Scott Street, is open to provide open recreation programming for ages 9 thru 12: Monday – Friday 3:30pm to 7:00pm and Saturday 1:00pm to 7:00pm, and for ages 13 thru 18: Monday – Friday 3:30pm to 9:00pm and Saturday 1:00pm to 9:00pm. Dix Youth Programs (YP)
Youth Services implement programming to meet the needs of middle school and high school students through the operation of the Youth Center for 11 year olds and up, and the Teen Center for 13 year olds and up. The Youth Center has a full day Middle School Summer Fun Program during the summer for those youth that have completed 6th, 7th, or 8th grade, Monday to Friday 6:30am to 6:00pm. The Garden Terrace Youth Center is located in Building 1279 on Locust Street (in Garden Terrace Housing), is open to provide an Open Recreation program.
It is open Monday - Friday 2:00pm to 7:00pm, Saturday 3:00pm to 7:00pm; Teens Only between 7:00pm to 10:00pm on Friday and Saturday.
The Teen Center in Building 691 Juliustown Rd at Dix is open weekends only, Friday and Saturday 7:00pm to 11:00pm.
Lakehurst Youth Programs (YP)
Located in Building 487 on Walsh Drive, offers special youth programs and fields trips as scheduled.

Instructional Class Program
A quality instructional class program offering a variety of classes in the School of Arts, Recreation, Leisure, School of Sports, Fitness and Health, School of Life Skills, Citizenship and Leadership, the School of Academic Skills, Mentoring, and Intervention at several locations across the installation.
