This workshop will focus on the three key steps to getting the most for your money and avoiding being a victim of fraud: deter (to prevent bad deals from happening), detect (to know when you have been victimized) and defend (to guard against future victimization). The goal of this course is to help you become a savvy consumer, familiarize yourself with advertising practices, scams and fraud and understand the ways to defend yourself from being a victim of poor consumer practices.
