Hearts Apart: Tales & Treats (MFRC) & Summer Reading Kick-Off Party (Library)

Celebrate the start of the 2026 Summer Reading Program with an evening full of games, activities, creativity, and community fun for all ages! Complete activities throughout the event to earn bonus reading minutes while enjoying a fantastic kickoff to summer reading season.

5:30pm-7:30pm, Library, Bldg. 2603 Tuskegee Airmen Avenue, JBMDL McGuire

At the same time, Hearts Apart families are invited to create custom bookmarks perfect for summer reading while enjoying relaxing vibes, fun conversation, and light refreshments. The Hearts Apart portion is open to spouses and families of all branches who are currently experiencing deployment, TDY assignments of 30+ days, remote tours, or are within six months post-deployment.

Pre-registration is requested for the Hearts Apart crafting activity to ensure adequate supplies are available.

Eligibility: Open to all patrons for the Summer Reading kickoff; Hearts Apart portion open to qualifying military spouses and families
